Great smaller-sized beachfront home for a family or two. We loved the old-fashioned charm reminding us on Holden Beach from the 1960's and 1970's. The only two changes we recommend are buying cooking trays small enough to fit in the oven and maybe a new coffee maker. Otherwise, we would definitely book again.

Big, bright, clean home with all the amenities you could want. Right on the beach. Big roomy showers, tall ceilings, big kitchen, pool, everything works great! Pool maintenance folks came to clean pool every couple days, and they were quick, efficient, out of the way. House is located right in front of where the surf school meets on the beach, about a half-mile to the left is a fun sand bank only visible at low tide - worth wading to.

I enjoyed my 2 week stay to decompress. It's a good location and very quiet.I suggest that you add an electric tea. Kettle to the kitchen, that would being very helpful.

I had booked the house for a sisters weekend, but that didn’t work out. Instead my husband, son, daughter in law and myself decided to go. The size of the house for us was perfect. We really enjoyed the screened in back porch. We love our own private access to the beach. I loved reading the history about the house. We will definitely be back!

Charming cottage that offered all the amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the screened in back porch as well as the easy access to the beach. Being able to enjoy it all with our dog was an added bonus.

Our stay at Heaven’s Outpost was amazing! The house was very clean upon arrival and the layout is fantastic. The view of the ocean and beach could not be better. The best part of being there is the view of gorgeous sunsets. We highly recommend this place!

This was such a great house. I loved waking up to watch the sun rise from bed! The view from the living room was amazing. Every pan/dish/platter we needed was available. Couches were comfortable, the deck was amazing to sit on and watch the ocean. It doesn’t have its own access to the ocean, but the access is as close as a private one would be. It was too cold to use the pool, but that would be an amazing extra to have in the summer. 10/10 recommend. We would love to come back to this house again.

Loved the screened in porch, and the dog enjoyed lounging in the porch area. Outdoor shower and sand rinse station on the walk way were used often and appreciated. Can’t anticipate hurricanes, but since we were at the beach we didn’t let Debby sour our vacation week and we were able to view the storm from the screened in porch - very impressive.

This house was perfect. The multiple porches were perfect and the pool is completely enclosed. A short bike ride to the restaurants/park/coffee shop. Well stocked with kitchen supplies (sharp knives/high chair/ mixing bowls/plates/silverware/ninja blender)! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated all the home had to offer (indoor games, floaties for the pool, cornhole). Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay!

The perfect beach house to share with family and the dog. An older cottage that exudes the old beach house charm. Don’t look for fancy updated home, just wood paneled walls, a tiny kitchen and a short boardwalk to the beach. Just like the beach cottages of my childhood. We will be back in September.

Absolutely loved this cozy little cottage. Perfect for empty nesters or a small family. The covered porch is wonderful and we loved that we could bring our dog. We've been coming to Holden Beach for 30 years and some of the properties, especially the dog friendly ones, don't always feel clean. This house felt immaculate. We loved it.

Our experience at Heaven's Outpost was wonderful! The home suited our needs perfectly. It was well stocked with towels and blankets, kitchen appliances and basic necessities. The home was beautiful and well equipped, but we felt comfortable in it (not like we were staying in a museum). It was so wonderful, we wished we had booked our stay for longer! We are hoping to return regularly to Heaven's Outpost. Thank you for having us!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Heavens Outpost! The most breathtaking views, right on the beach was our favorite next to the best sunsets and sunrises that you could imagine! We even got to see Dolphins from the porch.... just amazing! The house was gorgeous, one of the best we've ever stayed at! We will visit again and stay here!

Location, location, location!! Lovely ocean views from the large screen porch and large, newer deck. This is one of the original Holden Beach Cottages and the owners have kept it quaint. All the rooms are smaller and it still has the knotty pine paneling. Generous allotment of white towels for the one old-style bathroom. Good linens for the beds. You will not find better access to the beach and water.

This was our dog’s first ever vacation and could not have picked a better place! The screened in porch and deck were perfect for dog sunbathing. The house was very inviting and clean. This will now be our spot for our yearly family vacation!

We have been return guest of Harleys for a few years now. This cozy beach front home is exactly how the pictures show. If your wanting fancy and sophisticated..... this is NOT your place. If you want clean , rustic original beach cottage charm.....THIS IS it! The new deck and walk way is amazing . Perfect place for us to bring our pooch and can feel at home and has everything you need!! My only negative comment which is same I have posted before is issues with receptacles in Kitchen . Plugs will not stay plugged in and have to unplug things to plug others in. Everything has to be used in that one spot, no additional outlets in kitchen . But we love it and its perfect for us and we will return every year!

Left a similar review on Vacasa, but in short this is a perfect location for a beach vacation! The view from the screened in porch is amazing and you can spend your days on the porch watching the ocean and then go out to the water at your leisure. The home is also located very close to shops, fish markets, and the other things to see in Holden Beach. Definitely recommend this location for your next vacation!

The pictures in the listing are very accurate. Cute, quaint cottage with amazing beach access. We took our dogs in the off season and they absolutely loved it. Great location for visiting the beauty and pristine that Holden Beach offers.

It's clean, has comfy beds, luxurious bathrooms, lots of private sleeping areas, and the BEST VIEW OF THE OCEAN ever!! If your looking for 5 star fancy this is not for you. If you want 5 star original classic and cozy beach Cottage..... this is for you! Perfect Ocean front cottage with plenty of room! Kitchen has everything down to wine glasses and tea pitchers! Seriously it had it all. They even have laundry pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels /toilet paper and soap for your check in! That was a added bonus for sure Incase you forget it. The absolute only concern is the decking /walkway to the beach It is very old and very weathered as others have stated . It's Part of the classic old school beach property but it could use work for sure. We are booking for next year and plan to keep coming. Be sure to read history of the cottage on kitchen wall ! Lovely neighbor 2 doors down that lives there . She is always on the beach looking for goodies as she makes wreaths and stuff with them . What a lovely life !

This was our first time using Vacasa, so we were a little nervous. We ended up having a perfect experience. We had our one year old and she loved the pool. The house had almost anything you could think of. They had box fans, a baby gate, pool floats/toys, and some beach items. The house and pool were extremely clean. The view and amenities make this house completely worth it.

This was a fun vacation for my husband, adult daughter, myself and our family pup Grace. The house is exactly as listed and we were very pleased with the accommodations. We were able to relax and slow down our pace for the week. The walk from the house to the beach was excellent and during the week of the 4th of July the beach was "busy" but not too busy to enjoy ourselves. Being from out of state, the restrictions on the beach were something we didn't know about until our 2nd day there. These restrictions are completely reasonable, but just know your furry family friend is restricted from the beach from 9am to 5pm. Also, everyone around us adhered to the noise restrictions and after 10pm it got nice and quiet. Such a great atmosphere! Upon check in we found the ice maker in the fridge was not working properly (it looked like a plastic bag got twisted up in it somehow?) and we called the rental agency and they were there in just a few hours to fix it. :-) We had to call again as the high winds of the week tore some screens loose and they were great to respond on those as well. The house was clean upon arrival. Be sure to check with the listing company as to what is available in the kitchen if you plan on cooking. They are really good if you call and ask ahead of time. I was able to bring a crock pot and a few other items to ensure lazy cooking for mom while we were playing on the beach. Washer/dryer worked great, loved the outdoor shower down below for sand removal. Our only "critical" review, the deck. The deck is older and there are screws sticking up everywhere. You can tell they have come in several times to tighten them down, but while we were there we got used to just wearing our sandals. Is this a big deal?, nope! The view is gorgeous, and sitting on the deck was amazing. Would we stay again, absolutely!

We absolutely loved this gorgeous home and perfect sized salt water pool. Thr photos make it seem like 2 rooms have triple bunks, but the 6 bunks are all in one room which was perfect for us. Thus, we had a room with a queen, and 2 rooms with king size beds. The house was super clean, had games to play and very cute beachy dishes. The views are amazing and beds comfortable. You couldn't ask for more. Book it now.

Harley’s Better Half was a great beach cottage for our family of four + grandma. The views from the living room and porch were fantastic…especially since it was April and not always warm enough for the ocean breezes. We liked that there was an enclosed porch and also an uncovered porch if we wanted to enjoy direct sunlight. We also loved the large dining/kitchen table for game nights. The living room had a comfortable sofa, loveseat, and 3 swivel chairs so that the 5 of us had ample seating options. The house was clean and well-maintained for an older home. A great beach cottage for a small family!!!!

It was like a little slice of Heaven on earth. We had the most relaxing and comfortable experience in this beautifully appointed and spacious home. Overlooking a lovely beach with gorgeous oceanfront views makes for long stretches of reclining on the comfortable furniture with a choice of two decks. The home is perfectly placed to enjoy constant ocean breezes along with stunning sunrises and sunsets.
