This house is right on the beach with beautiful views up and down the beach. Plenty of entertainment and dining close by. Just a short drive to South Port where things are open year round. "Whether you're putting those bikes, boards, boats and beach games to use or you're slowing down your pace to simply soak in some time with one another, Holden Beach, with its distinction as one of the best family beaches in the country by National Geographic Traveler, is the obvious choice."

Property was mostly clean - we noticed a few cockroaches outside which is fine/normal for the beach, but found one in the house which wasn't great... Other than this, the house was in great condition, clean, well taken care of, and had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The showers were great, outdoor shower and hose was nice, and the golf cart was a great amenity to get to and from the beach access. The AC worked well, and hot water was good, and the living room TV was nice.

Slowin’ Dune was a wonderful place to stay. We had a great vacation. It was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. There was plenty of natural light. Vacasa and the owner were very helpful with any questions we had. We made very good use of the bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, and especially appreciated the golf cart. We could ride bikes or the cart to the beach. There were places for them to park. Walking to the beach was easy too. There is a wagon for beach equipment. The Caswell Dunes neighborhood was truly nice. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Restaurants and stores in Oak Island and Southport were easily accessible. We heartily recommend Slowin’ Dune for a very enjoyable vacation.

We have stayed in several houses at Holden Beach over the years, and this one is up there with the best for the price! The deck is nice.. I like that it's split so that you can be in the shade or the sun. I read a few reviews before we went, and they have definitely done some updates. I could tell a lot of the deck and flooring are new. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay in this house again!

The property was new and in a very quiet spot easily accessible to the beach. The golf cart made traveling to and from the beach very easy and convenient. This section of Caswell was secluded and the perfect place to unwind. Can’t wait to stay here again. Can’t recommend enough

We loved this house. It was a great location will wonderful views being ocean front. Even with a public beach access beside the home it was a great experience and plenty of privacy. The house had everything we needed from dish soap to all the towels and beddings. We will be going back for many years to come.

Our stay was everything we hoped it would be. The golf cart makes a trip to the beach so convenient. We love traveling with our pups and this was a very nice house for our beach getaway. The owner was very nice and we will definitely consider staying here again when we come back to Caswell Beach!

Loved our stay! Large deck with partial covered roofline allows enjoyment of the breeze and gorgeous view without the sun when you need a break while others can bask in the sun on the deck all day. When it rained got to stretch out on the couch outside enjoying it all. Very clean, nice luxury vinyl flooring in main area. Nice Leather couch so no worries about hidden yuk as I had my 8 month granddaughter with me all over the floor and couch :). Had high chair and playpen. Master room with comfy bed. Didn’t cook but had plenty of supplies to do so if you choose. Would recommend, has cozy atmosphere with all the comforts of home.

Clean and well appointed! We loved the modern amenities. This was a perfect house for our vacation. We have a relative that lives in Caswell Dunes and this was so convenient! The golf cart was great for mini-excursions and the outdoor area was perfect for showers, tv, scooters, lacrosse with the kids. The kitchen had literally everything and tv/wifi/wii was great too. The house exceeded our expectations, beautiful, well stocked kitchen, comfortable master and the addition of the golf cart was fantastic for rides to the beach. Great proximity to a lovely dog friendly beach. (At least in the off- season) My only complaint was the robotic and flawed management service Vacasa. Even with that, I would definitely return!

Since we had less-than-ideal weather when we traveled, we really enjoyed all the puzzles and games, and the smart TV came in especially handy too. You'd never know this property was pet-friendly. If you don’t want to have to drive a little to enjoy great food or if you love the hustle and bustle of Myrtle, don’t come here to Caswell. But if your idea of an ideal vacation is a quiet neighborhood with a manageable walk to a beach where you may see twenty people, this is heaven!!! Beautiful home. Lovely neighborhood. We just got back from a week stay and we would absolutely book here again. The location is perfect and convenient to the restaurants on the island. The deck is fantastic and is essentially where we spent all our time when not on the beach. The house was well equipped with cookware, linens, etc.. The only negative was that the beds were pretty uncomfortable, but that is me nitpicking. All in all for an original HB house this place is great and we’re currently in looks to rent again next year.

Our family of four all agree that Slowin’ Dune is our new favorite beach getaway! We usually stay on the beach and so were a bit nervous at this location being across the street, but having the golf cart (2-min drive to beach) made everything so easy! The beach is secluded as only golf carts can park at beach entrance. Bonus! The home itself was the cleanest, nicest home we have stayed in (and we stay in Oak Island a dozen times as it’s our favorite beach!) I’m picky so that is saying a lot. I know when reading reviews lots always say they will return, but we truly mean it. The decor and furniture were all perfect, not overly done and most certainly comfortable. The only issue we had was that the master bed was too soft for our 40-year-old backs. We quickly switched to the third bedroom and all was well. Kids enjoyed the ring toss game outside, board games, video games and bunk beds! If you are narrowing down your search, do not think any further. Slowin’ Dune is a must!

Outdoor shower is new and clean and perfect for washing off after the beach. There’s also a separate hose for sandy feet. The beach itself was wide and open, not crowded, beautiful. The house is clean and functional and as described. Nicely decorated with a beach theme that isn’t over the top or cluttered but still feels beachy. Kitchen is very well stocked. Bathrooms are nice, beds are comfortable. The master bedroom has no window coverings, so we were woken early every day by the sun. Kids rooms have shades. We had an issue with the refrigerator ice/water maker. Turnkey addressed it immediately and was very easy to work with. The house is gorgeous and is such a incredible well built home that has more amenities that you will ever need. As a long time family with parents on Cape Cod, the water is 20 degrees warmer and all people are much friendlier in the neighborhood and on the beach at this Caswelll beach property.

We don’t have kids but the space is ideal for a couple with 2 or 3 kids or 2 kids and a nanny. Two big covered porches plus a hangout space under the house. The home was just as pictured, bright and open. Clearly a very new home with all the amenities one would expect. Everything was spotless when we checked in. We appreciated the high-quality towels and bedding. A great golf cart for taking us and our tons of stuff down to the beach. I initially had issues with internet, but these were easily resolved with a quick phone call. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed staying here. The property is pristine, extremely clean and exactly as described. The golf cart was a huge perk and made the distance from the beach completely bearable. Two words of caution: the “grill” is more like a George foreman so not exactly the grilling experience one would hope for, and the master bed is not the most comfortable. Communication with the property manager was A+, some of the best we’ve experienced and we have stayed at many VRBOs/Airbnbs
