A quintessential coastal getaway awaits at this three-bedroom home in Sunset Beach, where you'll be just around the corner from the beach itself, the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, and the town fishing pier. With the beach only a quarter-mile down the road, this cheerful home is a place to spend your days swimming, boogie boarding, fishing, and collecting seashells on the sand. A number of restaurants, cafes, shops, and conveniences are just across the Intracoastal Waterway less than a mile north. Stroll home from the beach in the afternoon to be greeted by sunny yellow shutters, a shaded patio beneath the house, and a lovely back deck where you can soak up a bit more sun, play cards, or gather for an alfresco meal in the shade of the umbrella. The adjacent screened porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon crossword puzzles, and cocktails at sunset. Inside, find a centrally air-conditioned living space with lofty ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and the colors of the beach running throughout. This is a natural gathering space whether you're cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, sharing appetizers at the breakfast bar and high-top dining table, or watching after-dinner movies on Netflix, cable, or the DVD player in the living room. Don’t let the looks fool you. This has had the space for everyone!! This house comfortable held our party of 12 for the week. Although towards the back of second street still a doable walk to the beach even with a wagon, cooler, and stroller!

The house is less than 10 minutes to the beach - can easily park 4 cars. Easily sleeps 8!

This is our second year staying there and we have already started thinking about next year. We love Sunset Beach in fall/winter. Almost feels as we have the place to ourselves. Shell Box III is comfortable and has all the amenities we need. Well located, well maintained, and very clean.

The house is nice and has everything you need. The storm of course made our stay not so great but no one can be blamed for the weather. I fell at the house and asked for an extra hour to check out because our kids were going to leave Friday night. My mother is 82 and my wife could not do it alone. They would not even entertain that, my kids ended up calling out of work on Saturday and staying so we would have help to load up. Overall, I am not mad just disappointed in the end of the trip.

I had the best Christmas ever at this amazing, clean, and spacious place just one block from the beach. The location is unbeatable, and bringing my dog made it even more special. Highly recommend for a perfect holiday getaway!

The house is very clean and very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds and furniture were quite comfortable. Only about a half block from the beach.

We enjoyed our stay even though the weather was cooler than we’d hoped. Very cute beach house that’s very well equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. A short walk to the beach with easy access and close to the pier. It’s a nice quiet location but close enough for a quick drive to shops and restaurants.

My family and I traveled for a long weekend getaway. The home was a little older but don’t let that fool you, the decor is up to date and the home was extremely clean. Great location as it is close to many surrounding restaurants and within walking distance to the beach. Look forward to visiting here again!

We loved the location of the Salt Box lll. So close to the beach , great sunsets, long walks on the beach and our Golden Retriever found his happy place for sure. The house has everything in it that one could need. I would suggest maybe a set of directions for the operation of the TVs would be helpful. Hope to come back again soon.

I loved staying @ this house because it's a very short walk over to the public beach access. The multiple balconies and sitting areas allowed privacy for all of us. The check in/check out process was simple. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels provided and just an overall great place to stay.

We are repeat visitors to Shell Box III. This says a lot! The decor is cozy beach with lots of little extras. They even thought of our puppy. It is a short half a block walk to the beach. There is plenty of parking.

My sister and I spent a few days is this lovely crab appointed shack and enjoyed our time! Although we awaited Tropical storm Nicole and worried a bit about outdoor furniture and pillows the wind and sputtering rain did not diminish our time together.
