Located in the peaceful community of Island Park Cottages, this waterfront home places the best of Ocean Isle Beach at your fingertips. Here, on the edge of a small community pond, you'll be a quick walk from a beach access point and Island Park's two seasonal swimming pools and fishing piers. Come home from a day of swimming or boogie boarding to rinse off in the outdoor shower and relax on the ground-floor patio, where you'll find a gas grill, a picnic area, and a grassy lawn at the lagoon's edge. As you head upstairs, you'll be greeted by a cool blast of central air conditioning, a washer/dryer to take care of your swimsuits and beach towels, and an open great room with two-story ceilings. This room combines a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, a dining room table, and a living room with ample seating and a large smart TV. Spend the evening outside on the deck, where you can dine al fresco, sip coffee in a rocking chair, or simply admire the sunset view overlooking the pond. THINGS TO KNOW The two unheated community pools are open from April 1 to October 31. No fishing or swimming is allowed in the pond.

We loved everything about the house. The decor was perfectly beachy. The house was so clean and the pond with the fountain was so beautiful. Our granddaughters enjoyed spotting turtles and fish jumping out of the water. Such beautiful memories were made for our family!!

We stayed at the sun catcher for our son’s wedding that was held just down the street. The home was clean and well stocked with everything you could need. The community was also clean and quiet.

The Suncatcher is an exemplary home for a beach vacation. It was the most comfortable and welcoming of our senior sister get togethers over the years. The house is beautifully decorated and appointed, and the linens were a very welcome addition. The walk to the beach took only a little while, and we were blessed with beautiful weather to enjoy it. I felt like our every need was anticipated!! It was an excellent location for walks, finding shells, and eating out. So many good restaurants in the area! We were sad to leave our home away from home.

This was our second time staying at the Suncatcher we had a great trip again! Sad to say goodbye we have a special place for Island Park in our hearts we love the proximity to the beach and how close the pools are we always trailer down our golf cart which is easier for us than renting one but it’s a must have for carting toddlers to and from the beach when someone has to go potty or take a nap etc. this house has everything you need to make meals did your family and we appreciate the toys as well our kids even remembered some of their favorite toys from our last time staying there which makes it feel more like home. Thanks again for a great stay we will be back next summer!

We eat most meals in, so the double oven is awesome. Love the open living area, the swing under deck, nice deck overlooking canal, outdoor furniture clean and well maintained.

Our family had the most wonderful time staying at this property. The home is beautifully decorated and well stocked with the items you need. The back deck is perfect for your morning coffee or reading a book (and checking to see how crowded the pool might be.) :)

The house was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed for our week long stay. The canal out back was a wonderful water feature and watching the fish and frogs was fun. The beach was within walking distance and we spent a nice amount of time on the downstairs patio while watching the water. You will not be disappointed in this rental!

Booked last minute for a beach trip with kids ( ages 5 and 7) and had a great time. Home is very well stocked, able to cook easily and lots of nice to haves like starter toiletries, dish, laundry detergent etc… Easy walk to the beach, the pool was a hit and the neighborhood was great for evening bike rides. Appreciated the blackout curtains in the kids room especially during the summer hours and the beach toys available. Definitely will look to book again !

My in laws used to own in island park and sold last year so this was our first time renting. We love the area and love how kid friendly island park is we let our kids ride their bikes and scooters around and don’t really have to worry about the cars/neighborhood traffic because most people are in golf carts and everyone is looking out for young kids. We loved the outdoor shower it was easy to bathe the kids in there after the beach everyday. There was more than enough room for our family of 4 in there we like that the twin beds were downstairs we put our 2 year old in there so we didn’t have to worry about her falling down the stairs. We loved that they had toys there my 2 year old was super excited about the little people barn/farm animals and the water table and my oldest (4 year old) was excited about the lightening McQueen race car he found. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed we almost always cook in at the beach v. Going out to eat just because it’s easier with little ones. We already booked this house for the last week in August and are excited to come back! Island park feels like home 💕

We had a great time at The Suncatcher home in Ocean Isle Beach. House was very spacious, clean, and proximity to the beach was perfect! Great communication from Vacasa and cannot wait to rent again. Highly recommend going a Vacasa home!

I love staying in a clean, newer home. King size beds are a must for us and are fairly comfortable in the Suncatcher. Vacasa is a great, responsive management company. Cleaning crews do a great job. They call to see how things are the day after arrival, nice touch, they are really interested in the guests. We rented for years at Sunset beach with Sunset Properties who are not interested in guests and keeping the properties clean even though we are charged a cleaning fee. We also use Vacasa when we go to Kiawah Island for a beach trip, they are the same great company there.

This house was perfect for our Mother-Daughter getaway! Decor is updated, as are all of the kitchen appliances. We were conveniently located close to the ocean and several good restaurants. It was a definite perk to find the filtered water tap - we didn’t have to buy bottled water! The fire pit was a bonus too! We will return to The Suncatcher.

What a perfect beach house for a family of all ages. My husband and I took our toddlers and their grandparents for a week long beach vacation and loved it. First of all, we love all that ocean isle has and have been coming for 3 years! The house was close to the beach and a bike ride away from restaurants, shops and playgrounds. This property has the best outdoor shower I’ve used. It’s very roomy and has a detachable shower head for getting all the sand off your kids! There are plenty of hooks and a space to dry your suits and towels. The backyard has a grill and plenty of seating for a nice dinner outside. At night we loves walking out on the top deck for some margs and we looked at the sunset by the Marsh! The pool is right around the lagoon and beach access across the the street. If you need to drive and park there were always spots available no matter if we tried in the morning or afternoon. Finally, the best part was the cleanliness of the home. It was spotless and I felt very comfortable with my kids exploring the home. We even found toys and games to play with! We also loved the fact that 3 of the bedroom have king beds and attached bathrooms! Great if you are going with multiple families! We love this home and will be booking again!

This is a fantastic beach home! It is very well furnished and decorated. The deck overlooking the lagoon, pool, and creek is amazing. The walk to the beach is only a few blocks. We highly recommend renting The Suncatcher!
