We absolutely loved our stay! This property is perfectly located, offering a very easy, short walk to the beach—no need to pack up the car. The house was clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a day of shelling. Walking distance to local spots, quiet neighborhood, and ideal for families. Enjoyed everything about this house. Location, layout and cleanliness. Enjoyed the amenities including bikes, beach umbrellas, beach cart and optional golf cart. Enjoyed the back porch and fenced in yard. Easy walk beach, grocery stores, restaurants and bars and park with concerts, market, splash pad, pickleball/ basketball courts and skateboard park. We are looking forward to our return!

Love the area, home is very nice. The only drawback for me was the kitchen cabinet layout - cabinets over the island are not very easily accessible, especially if you are vertically challenged.

We had a wonderful stay at Salty Escape! The location was perfect for daily walks to the beach and park. The house was clean, well supplied, and decorated beautifully. We especially loved the fenced in back porch where we took advantage of yard games and grilling out. We rented the golf cart for our stay which made tooling around the island a breeze. We can't wait to return.

Enjoyed a beach trip for Thanksgiving and Salty Escape was in an excellent location on the island. Enjoyed quick trips to the beach by either walking or taking the golf cart. Easy access to grocery stores and shops. House had a decent kitchen stocked with everything needed as we prepared a Thanksgiving meal. House worked well for 3 generations - grandparents took the primary room with a walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 and 3 were more private and good for parents/kids with a bathroom in their 'wing'. Golf cart rental was great to have, and the garage storage space made everything easy and accessible. Enjoyed the back porch for the warmer weather days. Great trip to Oak Island!

We had a wonderful time at Salty Escape. The home is new and very close to the beach. Every morning we could walk to the beach or ride the bikes in the garage. The listing is deceptive in the presentation of the amenities. The golf cart is an additional cost, and we weee not notified of this until our arrival. It would have been nice know about the additional cost upon booking or before our arrival. Other than that, the home was beautiful and one of the best rentals we’ve had through Vacasa.

We had a great stay at Salty Escape! The house was spacious and looked just like the pictures (new and clean). The location was great and we could walk with our three kids to the playground and splash pad as well as the beach. (Stores and restaurants also within walking distance). The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils and dishes so it was easy to cook meals at home and it was nice not to have to do the dishes after each meal (we were 5 people). We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again if on Oak Island.

Loved the home, the porch, the support from staff. Everything except the very overly-complicated thermostat. But I would absolutely stay here again! Quiet street, great area and property.
