The well-equipped kitchen presents a pleasant space to play chef, and when your meals are ready to be indulged in - gather around the formal dining table. Airy, spacious, and simply decorated the bedrooms are equally comfortable with their high-quality linens and central air-conditioning. After days spent in the sun, you will love rinsing off in the marble walk-in shower, and chores will stay at bay with the private washer/dryer. Outside, everyone can stretch their legs in the enclosed backyard, equipped with a private outdoor shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was about as good as it gets, and it was overall very clean and comfortable for our 8 night stay. We loved being an easy walk to the beach, a coffee shop, a great seafood market and a couple of fun bars to mix it up a bit. 10/10 would definitely love to stay again!

Location was beach accessible, the house is tastefully decorated, beautiful shower in the Master bedroom and a huge walk in closet in the Master bedroom. Plenty of space in the living area for relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet.

Home was a great size for a large family. We even have a little one and space to place his mattress or cribs inside the master. Lots of bath towels made showering nice with lots of girls too! Only item that would of been nice is there are no TV's in any rooms just the living room. Would of love to have TV's in all 3 rooms.

We always enjoy staying in this home and since we can bring our pups, that means we can stay longer and enjoy their company too. The beach chairs are great, fenced backyard is key for dogs and the walk is easy to the beach and to Island Jo's for breakfast. Can't wait for our next visit!

1/2 mile from beach access. Great use of space. Comfy beds. Well done interior. And they even had great amenities for our pups! You SHOULD stay here!

This place is very nice, very clean, kitchen was well supplied, beds very comfortable, bathrooms beautiful. Beach was close but recommended drive and pay to park. Town is fun. Beach was perfect. Highly recommend this house

We had a really nice stay at Pawsitive Island Escape. The home has a very calming, cool, yet modern beach atmosphere. The front porch is welcoming with two very comfortable rocking chairs. There's a large room with living area, dining area, and kitchen as we entered the house. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed with a coffee maker, toaster, blender, and even an espresso machine. We enjoyed sitting at the island for breakfast and having coffee and snack time. The king and queen bedrooms were spacious, and the twin beds room was smaller but cozy. The hall bath was also a good size with a tub/shower combination. The primary bathroom was fun with a walk-in shower, double vanities, and a niche for the toilet. We have plenty of room to store our clothes and luggage out of sight in the primary walk-in closet. When we travel with our dogs, we try to find a home with an enclosed yard. This home didn't disappoint! Although a tad small, there was plenty of room for the dogs to run around, playn and do their business. The enclosed back porch was a good place to watch our dogs as they tried to catch the neighborhood squirrel that ran along the fence line every evening! We were very pleased with our stay and would love to come again sometime.

This was the perfect house for a weekend with our adult children. Everything was bright and clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and pots and pans. Although there was a lot of construction going on in the area, we were not bothered by noise at any time of the day or night. The walk to the beach is not long - about 10-12 minutes - but you do have to cross a very busy road, so we chose to drive and pay the parking fee when we had all our beach stuff with us.

The Pawsitive Island Escape cottage was beautifully appointed. The Scandinavian flair was just perfect for Oak Island. The amenities were superb and we felt at home from the moment we opened the door. The high end appliances and kitchen dinnerware and glassware were just beautiful. Our family spent more time than anticipated in the cottage. We highly recommend staying here and we are so looking forward to when we can visit again. The M Family

This home was absolutely beautiful from the gorgeous rattan pendant light over the kitchen sink (which I'm on the hunt to find!) to the beautiful flooring that seemed impervious to my dogs nails as they ran through the house checking everything out! The backyard was the perfect amount of space for my pups to chase each other and do their business. The neighbors all around were very quiet too. We were able to walk from the house right down the street to the beach it was perfect! The kitchen also had everything we could need, can opener, wine opener, plenty of bowls, cups and plates a neat looking espresso machine, a blender and pots and pans. A huge fridge and really nice washer and dryer. There were complimentary items such as laundry detergent, as well as dishwashing detergent, sponge, body soap, shampoo and conditioner. There were also a deck of cards, Yatzee and Jenga! Big TV with all the apps to be able to login to your own account and watch your shows or just watch live TV. From start to finish I was really impressed with my stay, my son and two dogs agree! Highly recommend and I would 100% stay again!
