You'll have a wonderful, unobstructed view of the marsh and Intracoastal Waterway from this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home located right across the street from beach access. The first floor has a queen bedroom and the second floor has two bedrooms with a queen in the first and two singles in the second. You'll also have a sofa and dining room table. Holden Friends has central heat and air, a dishwasher, beverage refrigerator, a microwave, a washer/dryer, cable TVs, and a Bluetooth radio. This was one of the best beach houses we have stayed at. Excellent location and great value for what it offered. Beautiful marsh view in back and beach access right accross the street. Updated and well apportioned interior. Would definitely stay again!

This is a wonderful, clean house that is clearly well-loved and maintained by the owners. There are many little touches of care, and trust that guests will appreciate and take care. Sunset views of the marsh were spectacular and a nice change of pace from the beach side — which is a super-short and easy walk. The kitchen is spacious and really well appointed. We were never in need while cheffing it up. This is a really nice beach house for a family or small group. Highly recommended and look forward to staying there again!

House was clean, AC worked great, and beds were comfortable. This was our first time to Holden Beach. We found that beach access is more limited than other beaches and Having a beach access one house down and across the street was really nice. If you’ve not been to Holden Beach before, note that it’s pay to park ant any public beach access between 9-5. We usually got up to shell by the pier at 6am and had a couple hours of free parking. We loved having the salt marsh behind the house. We hung out on the back deck all the time watching the herons, wood storks, deer and sunsets. The location of Holden Friends does not disappoint. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

I’ve been going to this house for years, and it’s always a lovely space to relax in and enjoy! I felt nourished by the ocean to the front and the marsh and waterway in the back. The owners continue to make lovely improvements to the house—I especially love the “down lounge” downstairs for hanging out outside on rainy days! Recommend for a simple, clean, close beach access, everything you need family home!

Bright, clean, welcoming and right across from the beach. We alternated evenings enjoying the front porch (on the rocking chairs) with views of the ocean, then enjoying the solitude (and sunsets) on the back deck overlooking the marsh. Been staying here for the most part since 2004 and will continue to have this as our mainstay vaca.

This is our second time renting Holden Friends. We love the house. We wish the back porch had a table to eat outside but that is definitely not a deal breaker for us.

This is our 2nd year in Holden Friends and we love it! Great having the towels provided and beds made when we arrived! Love the rockers on the front porch and the view of the marsh and sunset from the back porch.

This is our second year gathered with family at Holden Friends. Mid May is a wonderful time to be on the coast. Holden Friends is located about four miles from the Bridge, making it a quiet location. We loved looking out the back deck towards the marsh and seeing the birds feeding and interacting. I was glad I brought my binoculars this year! A simple walk across the street leads to a private boardwalk to the beach. It is a quiet end of the beach with wonderful sand and easy access to water. The home itself is spacious, the kitchen well stocked with the necessities, more has been added since last year making it even a more versatile cooking space. The breakfast, living room area has a high spacious ceiling with adjustable ceiling fans, the blue color is cooling and calming, perfect for both an escape from summer heat and family conversations. The wifi has a strong signal and several of us were able to participate in unavoidable zoom meetings. It is great to be confident and comfortable in a space and this is a real winner for us and I am sure it will be for you!

The home was very clean and just what we needed for our family. Beach access was right across the street. My parents, who are in the 60-70 age range, joined us and they were able to stay in the downstairs bedroom and have their own bathroom. Us and our kids stayed in the rooms upstairs and used that bathroom. Highly recommend!

This home is across the street the beach with quick access to the ocean. The back porch looks over an open area of sand and water looking towards the intercoastal waterway. Ideally situated to watch the sunrise and sunset. The area is filled with birds and we observed a beautiful painted bunting. The interior is spacious, the blue and white common areas are refreshing and cool. Parking beneath kept the cars cool and clean. The house is located towards the end of the road, minimizing traffic noise. Everything worked great.

The 2nd time we’ve stayed at this home. They have upgraded the kitchen appliances. We were very impressed. Very clean. We had a wonderful time and will come again.
