The cottage is charming, and we esp loved that our two little dogs were welcome. It was spotless throughout, and completely supplied down to wash clothes, paper towels, dish liquid, etc. The location on the beach was amazing.

I appreciated the quaintance of the property and how it is nestled close to the beach. Although the house is old and the furnishings a bit dated, the bed was comfortable and I really appreciated the screen porch.

Stayed for a long weekend in March. Love the old beach cottage style and the oceanfront location. Screened porch and enclosed deck are great for dogs and people, too. Very clean. Would definitely stay again.

We loved the fact we were right on the beach with a private walk way. Also we love the affordability of the home. Lastly we like that Harleys Better Half is close to restaurants and the grocery store.

The perfect beach house to share with family and the dog. An older cottage that exudes the old beach house charm. Don’t look for fancy updated home, just wood paneled walls, a tiny kitchen and a short boardwalk to the beach. Just like the beach cottages of my childhood. We will be back in September.

Absolutely loved this cozy little cottage. Perfect for empty nesters or a small family. The covered porch is wonderful and we loved that we could bring our dog. We've been coming to Holden Beach for 30 years and some of the properties, especially the dog friendly ones, don't always feel clean. This house felt immaculate. We loved it.

This house was perfect for my family and our dogs. I wanted to take my dog to the beach and this house was right on the beach with plenty of outdoor rinse off areas and hardwood flooring making it easy to clean the sand. We also loved the deck and covered screen in porch and spent hours relaxing out there. This location was close to a cute restaurant and the main bridge. I will definitely be coming back!

First: dog friendly and that being said it was clean! House had dog bowls and a new wood patio with gates so the dog can not take off down to the beach on their own! Cozy: 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 dog. There is just 1 bathroom but wasn’t a problem for us. The beds are firm, there is a shower down stairs (which we went in January) so we didn’t have the chance to try it out, so there is 2 showers! Washer and dryer worked fine. Charcoal grill. Location: Perfect location! The general store and Ice cream shop is within walking distance (20min walk, 3min drive) many restaurants within a 5 min drive. View: Beautiful! Landscape around the back deck, not only helps with privacy but also in the morning the birds are singing! I would definitely stay again!

This was our dog’s first ever vacation and could not have picked a better place! The screened in porch and deck were perfect for dog sunbathing. The house was very inviting and clean. This will now be our spot for our yearly family vacation!

Harley’s Better Half is not ostentatious in any respect. It is comfortable, clean and close the everything especially the ocean. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to another week.

Excellent location for any beach vacation! The screened in porch and deck provide beautiful views of the ocean. Private beach access from the deck is also very convenient. The home is located less than 5 minutes from grocery store, fresh fish market, and shopping. Internet is strong and the home has everything you need in terms of cooking, laundry, and has a large outdoor shower plus a smaller one on the private beach access for cleaning up after going to the beach.

This little cottage has a very homey feel. A screened in porch, a wonderful deck with a view, an inclosed shower out side (down stairs) that is wonderful and all the little things that make it comfortable. It is pet friendly and we brought our pup. It was great.

We enjoyed our quick two night stay at Harley's Better Half. The home is an older home but you can't beat being ocean front. The back porch was very nice to relax on and did look newly built. We had no concerns during our stay. The home was clean upon arrival and starter supplies were provided such as: hand soap, travel sized dove shampoo, conditioner, body soap, dish soap etc.

Loved being able to have my dog at the beach! The home is modest but has all that you need (except a hairdryer, but not a big deal). The deck was lovely and warm even for December. What a perfect time to be there, hardly another soul!

Harley’s Better Half was a great beach cottage for our family of four + grandma. The views from the living room and porch were fantastic…especially since it was April and not always warm enough for the ocean breezes. We liked that there was an enclosed porch and also an uncovered porch if we wanted to enjoy direct sunlight. We also loved the large dining/kitchen table for game nights. The living room had a comfortable sofa, loveseat, and 3 swivel chairs so that the 5 of us had ample seating options. The house was clean and well-maintained for an older home. A great beach cottage for a small family!!!!

This home away from home welcomes us with stained wood just like our cabin in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. Might be our 5th time to stay her and we'll be back next year.
