We absolutely love the Eberwein Retreat! This was our second year staying here, and it felt like coming home. The house is beautifully maintained, spacious, and perfectly suited for a relaxing beach getaway. We’re already looking forward to our next stay and highly recommend the Eberwein Retreat to anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable vacation at Holden Beach.

This place has two front ocean front rooms, each sharing a bathroom with another bedroom. Lots of fans. There are umbrellas on the deck for shade when needed. Loved having the sunroom with windows that opened for a relaxing breeze. Lots of amenities—great showers (one had a safety bar), good quality shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. There isn’t a hill to get to the beach. Beach mats, chairs, and toys available. My only complaint is they didn’t allow free early access even though the home was ready. The laundry room was near the car so we didn’t use it.

Great location, very comfortable, everything worked. There were two umbrellas on the deck, which Vacasa said there weren’t! Well stocked kitchen, with spices and condiments. There are beach chairs, mats and toys! The house is on low stilts so the view of the beach is blocked a little, but you still see the water and some waves.

Beach access was awesome! Very comfortable house with a spacious outdoor porch for soaking up the sun, watching the ocean and viewing the sunrise and sunset.

House was very clean and amazing location. Kitchen had plenty of stuff to cook our meals. Shower stuff, dishwasher tabs, soaps, and washing machines pods were provided which was very nice. Being able to walk out the back door to the beach anytime we wanted was amazing!

Stayed a weekend here with our college friends and our kids. It is the perfect layout for two families traveling with smaller children. Plenty of living space for everyone and over all very clean. It's in the best possible location on the island for shelling, fossil hunting, and looking for shark teeth. Would definitely recommend this home, and we will plan to stay here again in the future.

We were able visit with family from Whiteville and Wilmington for Christmas and still have our own little escape. We enjoyed watching the waves crash onto the shore from our deck and the sunset was beautiful

We loved our stay. Property management was very responsive. The nightly listed price was very reasonable. However, we felt the fees were really excessive. Therefore, we will not stay here again.

What’s not to love? Great place for family/friends! So surprised at how large this “home” is…it feels like being at home. Beach is just out the door, off the deck and walk straight to the beach! If you are a beach person, you’ll love this place. In the past I have had issues with cleanliness at some of these rentals but this house was actually clean! We didn’t have to clean anything! Local residents very friendly. Restaurants have delicious food. Small community…. I do intend to go back!

This little cottage has the perfect home layout for a family retreat. The beach was directly accessible and the back deck has a fantastic view of the water with plenty of seating. The kitchen was stocked perfectly with any cookware you'd need for any meal of the day. It was very clean and organized. There are extra comfy blankets in each closet and a plethora of games to play and books to read. I can't wait to stay here again.

The location is excellent, being right on the beach, and much quieter than the neighboring beaches that are far more built up and busy. It was winter, so not everything was open and functioning, but that was not a problem.

This is not a rental house but a true home the owners share with others. The kitchen was well stocked, the sunrises and sunsets all visible from the deck in January were amazing. If a house can have its own vibe….this house has a great one!!!!!

Right on the beach! Relax on the large deck, and move inside to the sunroom if you've had enough direct sun or wind exposure for the day. Perfect location for a completely laid back vacation while soaking up the sights and sounds of the ocean. We loved the floorplan. Although there were only two of us, this is a great place for four people or couples to each have a room with a king bed. There are two bathrooms to share. And although we never turned on any TV, there is one large unit in the main living space, and each bedroom has a small TV for those who like that kind of thing. Nice feature. This unit is well appointed both in terms of decor and amenities. Vacasa made the rental process simple. We will definitely consider renting this place again.

Absolutely loved our stay! Very clean! It had all of the amenities we needed. Plenty of space with easy ocean access. Close to great restaurants (Lou Lou’s, Castaways, and The Scoop are all fantastic!). Absolutely would recommend, and would love to stay again!

Hubby and I enjoyed our stay. We didn't even turn the tv. The view out the living room window is beautiful. The house was comfortable and clean. I'm picky about cleanliness. We absolutely loved the beach access. The shells on Holden beach are spectacular. We dubbed the sunroom the "hotbox". It was way too hot to sit out there. A separate wall air conditioning unit would be a good idea. It's great the house has 4 king sized bedrooms. We would definitely rent this house again.

This house with its hardwood floors, Enclosed porch, Windows that open and a real beach house feel Is a treat. The 4 rooms all have king beds and although it’s a small house, it has plenty of sitting room with three tables and breakfast bar. It’s a very short walk to the beach and not so many stairs to climb to carry groceries or go down to the beach. We found this house to be very comfortable and would certainly rent this in the future.

Updated oceanfront beach cottage was exactly what our family was looking for. Only negative comment was that there was sand at the entrance to the driveway. Recommend replacing with gravel. A couple of our vehicles have difficulty.
