We really liked this house. It has a nice layout that easily accomodated our party of 5. It is an easy walk to the beach and a great view from the poarch. I would recommend taking a mattress topper for the bed and do not rely on the fenced area for your dog.

The property was perfect. Cozy, comfortable. The view from the deck was breath taking. I wanted to be able to feel the breeze from the ocean, hear the waves and smell the salt air. We have been looking for a place to rent yearly. This is it. I think we have found our spot.

House was clean, small but perfect, we were outside most of the time. beds are old and need some love, but it didn't dampen our stay. host was very responsive and easy to work with. We will stay again.

This lovely cottage sits on Holden beach and has the most beautiful view. My family enjoyed our stay immensely and would gladly book it again!

Loved the location, the amount of rooms, and the underneath space. The view is incredible. Quiet end of the Main Street so not too much traffic. Only complaints are: some dog hair leftover on the floor from previously renters, and two Of the rooms had very very loud squeaky creaky beds. Otherwise incredible cleanliness and location!

My family has been going to Holden Beach since the 50's and we were delighted by this home for our small group. The home was very clean when we arrived and had a gorgeous view of the ocean on east part of the island.

The Austin Cottage is a perfect getaway destination! Lovely porch, dog-friendly yard, and steps away to the beach. The location is quiet and relaxing. I will definitely revisit this home.

We rented this house years ago when my oldest son was a baby. 20+ years later and its like taking a step back in time. Everything is almost the same. Simple family life.(Just ignore the WIFI and TV and Dishwasher and microwave) Screened in porch is my favorite with the rocking chairs. Our 4th time being in this house and hopefully we will be able to come again. We love Austin Cottage
